DESCRIPTION:

A high quality vinyl emulsion paint formulated for opacity. Artists quality earth and traditional powder pigments provide matchless purity and quality of colour, and subtle variations of colour and tone.
It is not a Permeable Paint, and therefore should not be used on solid walls that need to 'breathe' or newly-plastered surfaces.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

Contains no added lead. Water-based

VOC EU limit value (2010): 30g/litre. This product contains max 1g/litre VOC.

USAGE/PURPOSE

To be used for the decoration of walls and ceilings. For interior use only.
Porous surfaces may need priming with a mist coat of emulsion thinned with up to 10% water by volume, prior to the application of further coats.
Rose of Jericho Vinyl Matt Emulsion is not as wipeable as modern vinyl emulsion paints.

Sensible Precautions.
Keep out of reach of children.
Protect from frost, extremes of temperature, and direct sunlight.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours.
Use in good natural ventilation and wear protective clothing.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

Solvent.

Performance.
Drying: In good drying conditions: Touch dry in 4 hours.
Allow 12 hours between coats.

Limitations.
Do not apply in temperatures below 5"C or in damp or humid conditions.
Do not use on surfaces previously painted with oil-based paints, limewashes or distempers..

Storage.
Store in secure dry conditions inaccessible to children and animals, and away from sources of ignition.
Containers should be kept closed during storage. Avoid spillage.

DO NOT empty into drains or water courses or access routes to septic tanks..

PREPARATION:

All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry, and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination.
Vinyl Matt Emulsion can be applied to lining paper and previously emulsion painted surfaces.
Porous surfaces should be primed with a mist coat of paint diluted with up to 10% water.
Any algae or mould must be treated with a fungicide and making good and filling should be carried out with a material appropriate to the substrate.
It is recommended that trials are carried out to ensure that the surface is suitable for application.

APPLICATION:

Stir well before use. Apply by brush, roller or spray.
Final coat normally applied by brush. Two full coats recommended.

Thinning.
Primed or previously painted surfaces should require no thinning.

Coverage.
12-14 m2/ litre/ coat on smooth surface of average porosity.

Cleaning.
Brushes and equipment should be cleaned with warm, soapy water immediately after use.
