PRODUCT DATA SHEET

DESCRIPTION:

 A high quality smooth exterior quality emulsion paint. (For exterior use only).
Artists quality earth and traditional powder pigments provide matchless purity and quality of colour and subtle variations of colour and tone. It is not a permeable paint, and therefore should not be used on solid walls that need to 'breathe' or newly built, pointed, or rendered surfaces.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

 Contains no added lead. Water-based.
This product contains a fungicide to help inhibit algae growth.
VOC EU limit value (2010): 40g/litre. This product contains max 30g/litre VOC.

USAGE/PURPOSE:

To be used for the exterior decoration of dry cement-based rendering, pebble-dash, and modern building materials.
Porous surfaces may need priming with a stabilising solution or coat of exterior emulsion thinned with up to 15% water by volume, prior to the application of further coats.

FINISH:

 Matt. Subtle colour and tone variation.

COLOURS:

 Exterior emulsion is available in all colours.

AVAILABILITY:

 2½ and 5 litre tins. Direct from Rose of Jericho. All paints are mixed to order.

Sensible Precautions:
Keep out of reach of children.
Protect from frost, extremes of temperature, and direct sunlight.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours. Use in good natural ventilation and wear suitable eye protection and protective clothing. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Harmful to aquatic organisms. DO NOT empty into drains, water-courses, or access routes to septic tanks.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

 Composition.
Water based acrylic resin dispersion. Solvent: water.

Performance.
Drying: In good drying conditions: Touch dry in 4 hours. Allow 12 hours between coats.

Limitations: Do not apply in temperatures below 70 deg C or when there is a likelihood of rain, fog, or frost.
DO NOT use on lime renders or surfaces previously painted with limewash.
It is NOT normally used for the decoration of older buildings.

Storage.
Store in secure dry conditions inaccessible to children and animals, and away from sources of ignition. Containers should be kept tightly closed during storage. Avoid spillage.

PREPARATION:

All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry, and free from loose or defective paint, dirt, or other contamination.
orous surfaces should be primed with a coat of exterior emulsion diluted with up to 20% clean water. A stabilising solution may be necessary. Any mould, algae or moss must be treated with a fungicidal wash and making good and filling should be carried out with a material appropriate to the substrate. It is recommended that trials are carried out to ensure that the surface is suitable for application.

APPLICATION:

Stir well before use. Apply by brush, roller, or spray.
Final coat normally applied by brush. Two full coats normally recommended.

Thinning.
Primed or previously painted surfaces should require no thinning.

Approx. Coverage.
12 - 14 m2/ litre/ coat on smooth surface of low porosity.
4 - 6 m2/ litre/ coat on textured surfaces of low porosity.

Cleaning.
Brushes and equipment should be cleaned with warm, soapy water immediately after use.
