RJ7   DELIVERY GUIDELINES

Deliveries are an integral part of our business, and we have stated below some basic guidelines covering the important aspects of the delivery process. Please bear these in mind when asking for goods to be delivered. We welcome the collection of goods direct from Horchester Farm for local, or even not so local, customers, but remember that all products are made to order and should be ordered in advance..

  1. Delivery costs are based upon the actual weight of the consignment, and in the case of pallets, also upon the delivery address postcode. It is therefore necessary to contact us to obtain the delivery cost before ordering. We send out a variety of consignments varying in weight and we feel that charging delivery against the actual weight and destination of the goods is the fairest method.
  2. A full delivery address postcode is essential.
  3. A contact telephone number is also required. Clear directions for difficult to find locations are also necessary.
  4. All Mainland orders are sent on a next-day service. However this is not guaranteed, and a specific delivery time or morning/afternoon delivery can not be advised.
  5. Unless specific instructions are given, carriers WILL NOT leave goods without a signature. A card will be left at the delivery address giving the telphone number of the delivery depot. It is then the customer's responsibility to arrange re-delivery or collection. Any extra charge incurred will not be borne by Rose of Jericho Limited.
  6. Specific instructions can be given to the carriers to leave goods at e.g. a neighbour, in the garage, behind the coal shed, etc. These instructions must be given to Rose of Jericho Limited at the time of ordering.
  7. Check that ALL the goods have been delivered and that they are in GOOD CONDITION before signing the delivery note.
  8. NO CLAINS WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS LOSS OR DAMAGE IS CLEARLY NOTED ON THE DELIVERY NOTE.
  9. It should be borne in mind that our carriers are all part of national carrier networks, and therefore your orders will enter a national freight system. This means that the lorry or van that collects from Horchester Farm will not be the one that delivers to your address.
  10. Whilst we all try our best to ensure that your goods arrive on time and in good condition, accidents do happen and Rose of Jericho Limited MUST BE notified of any damage or loss as soon as possible.
  11. In the event of non-delivery, it can take the carriers an appreciable amount of time to trace the goods. We would prefer you to ring and check that your goods have been despatched if you have any doubts concerning their non-arrival.
